How it began

In the summer of 2024

We were approached by a good friend in our industry, a COO of a large event production company. Her concern was that her account executives (AEs) and client coordinators (CCs) were spending too much time making mockups and previews for their clients and party planners.

AEs and CCs would need to ask their design team for mockups. This would take time as the designers were offsite and the turn-around times were unpredictable.

AEs and CCs wanted a way to make mockups quickly.

"I want for them to just slap a logo on a ping-pong table and send it out" said our friend.

"They are using Powerpoint to make it happen and looks horrible! We need a better way to go about it!"

"Hold my beer" said Stan Yurynets, our founder. (he was actually holding a Starbucks cup as this convo took place at a trade show).

The Problem

Most live events require us submitting proofs or mockups of the branding and what the stations would look like before the branding can go to print.

Clients and party planners increasingly expect that the proofs are made in 3D and look great.

Client coordinators lack the professional 3D-artist skill set needed to create 3D mockups.

Hiring an experienced 3D designer is expensive (at least $120K+ /year), wasteful, and introduces availability and other issues.

The Solution

ZippyProofs will provide a simple and user friendly 3D mockups solution.

Client Coordinators will be able to use their favorite graphics tools (Canva / Photoshop etc) to create kiosk walls or panels with logos and patterns. *** we since added a quick built-in web-based editor. SUPER easy to use for all!

Zippy Proofs will quickly* make 3D mockups based on these walls and send them back

* expected turn-around time ~ 5-10 minutes and will increase once we scale. *** we since improved the render speed to < 20 seconds, about 4 seconds per angle.

Step 1 - We Will Create 3D Scenes

We will create pretty 3D Scenes for the popular stations you produce (trivia shows, basketball pop-a-shot, food kiosks etc) ahead of time. This is done once per station.

Client Coordinators download “blank templates” to edit using easy tools that they already know (Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator).

Client coordinators edit templates by adding logos, backgrounds, text, etc. Once done, they upload their artwork back to ZippyProofs for 3D rendering.
